About Northwest Classics Landscaping

Northwest Classics landscaping is located in Bellevue, Washington. We primarily do landscaping projects in the greater Seattle Area. We are proud to say that our company has been in business for eighteen years. Our landscaping experts have over a 100 years of combined experience.

Our in-house skills are comprehensive, which allow us to rely very little on outside third party sources. Our emphasis is on high quality custom landscaping project results, and customer satisfaction. Phil Cerna is a native Washingtonian who was born and raised in the Columbia River Basin of Eastern Washinton. He spent his high school summers working at Cerna Landscape, a business owned by his brother Carlos Cerna, that operates in the Seattle Area also. The Cerna family is known for their honesty, fairness, and hard work ethic, of which Phil is certainly no exception. After graduating from the University of Washington, and a short but successful stint in sales & marketing, he started a small landscaping company that has emerged into Northwest Classics Landscaping. Phil attributes much of his success to attract the best talent, and to develop synergy in a team environment.

His wife Wendy Jo has played a key role in the progession of the Northwest Classics Landscaping business. Phil and Wendy Jo are dedicated to their faith in God, and to their three children: Phillip Jr, Delany, and Livia.

Craig Esveldt has been a Washington State certified landscape architect for over twenty five years. He works hand in hand with Phil in conceptualizing unique designs that capture the needs and designs of each client. This results in a beautiful detailed final blueprint. Craig's expertise, his attention to detail, and his creativity add another dimension to the depth of our landscaping design and build capabilities.

Randy Gillies has been an integral part of Northwest Classics Landscaping for the last sixteen years. His areas of expertise include the design and installation of automatic sprinkler & irrigation systems, and extensive outdoor lighting systems. Randy is the go-to-guy for all the technical details of landcaping design and construction. Our clients always enjoy his easy going nature, and his arid and funny sense of humor.

Terry Howard's resume includes over fifteen years of custom landscaping design work. He is very skilled in masonry, flagstone, and brickwork design. Terry Howard is considered by many to be one of the premier custom retaining wall experts in the Pacific Northwest.
